What is the Past Continuous?

The Past Continuous, also known as the Past Progressive, describes actions or situations that were happening at a specific moment in the past. It emphasizes an action being in progress at a particular time.

How to Form the Past Continuous

Use the verb to be (was/were) in the past tense + the base verb with -ing.
